NOMI COSE CITTÀ ANIMALI

Il tema della 22° edizione è il titolo di un gioco per bambini. E, come nel gioco, ogni autore potrà comporre la propria categoria lessicale, perché giocando si comprenda che per essere liberi in una comunità è necessario stabilire, e cambiare quando serve, alcune regole. Giorgio Manganelli diceva “Ma non è la meta di tutte le nostre disperazioni sciogliersi nel gioco?”. Da bambini giochiamo e impariamo a leggere e scrivere. Da adulti dimentichiamo quanto sia importante vivere con il gioco – ma mai per gioco.

Queste le parole di Chiara Valerio, curatrice dell'evento, per descrivere NOMI COSE CITTÀ ANIMALI, il tema di Più libri più liberi 2023, la fiera Nazionale interamente dedicata alla Piccola e Media Editoria di Roma. E questo il brief per l'illustratore Francesco Bongiorni che ha visualizzato il tema.

The theme of the 22nd edition is the title of a children's game. And, as in the game, each author will be able to compose his or her own lexical category, so that by playing we understand that to be free in a community it is necessary to establish, and change when necessary, certain rules. Giorgio Manganelli used to say 'But is it not the goal of all our despair to dissolve in play?' As children we play and learn to read and write. As adults we forget how important it is to live with play - but never for play.

These are the words of Chiara Valerio, curator of the event, to describe NOMI COSE CITTÀ ANIMALI, the theme of Più libri più liberi 2023, the National Fair entirely dedicated to Small and Medium-sized Publishers in Rome.
